If there's one thing we love to do at the Hotel GF Victoria***** GL , especially now that Valentine's Day is approaching, it's celebrate love. This is precisely why so many couples choose us today to celebrate their dream wedding at our facilities. This is the case of Yurena and Ricardo , a couple who came to us with very clear ideas about the type of wedding they wanted, and whose love story is worthy of any romantic comedy script.
In the age of dating apps and the impersonal nature of social media, the so-called "triumph of love" is quite a challenge for couples. Yurena and Ricardo don't fit the conventional mold at all… she runs a small online designer jewelry business , and he works developing the magic behind video games.
Both have very creative personalities, and that's precisely what made them fall in love. “A friend was organizing a concert at a bar in Santa Cruz, and I just wanted to drop by for a while. Ricardo was working with the band's drummer at the time, and we were introduced… I'm not going to say we fell in love instantly—that only happens in romance novels—but the connection was instant ,” Yurena recounts.
Thus began a solid four-year relationship filled with laughter and adventures around the world. As Ricardo explains, “Our professions allow us to work from anywhere on the planet. We love to travel, so we’ve taken advantage of the opportunity to explore much of Southeast Asia and Latin America.” In fact, it was precisely on one of their trips that they decided to get married. “We were on Jeju Island in South Korea; it was terribly hot, but its volcanic landscapes made us feel right at home. It was right there that we decided we wanted to celebrate our wedding in Tenerife , surrounded by all our loved ones.”

For them, a spontaneous atmosphere was paramount, so they prioritized the party over the food. Even so, they worked closely with our team to ensure the best dishes were served and their guests were delighted.
Their memories of Asia , a continent that fascinates them, were also present at the wedding, especially in the decorations. Our team did everything possible to transport the bride, groom, and guests back to their adventures around the world… and the result couldn't have been better. “It was like going back to those endless days on the beach in Cambodia… we were so excited,” says Yurena.

The bride and groom are also true fashion enthusiasts, so they couldn't miss the opportunity to wear their finest attire. She opted for a comfortable and relaxed design with three-quarter sleeves, very much in keeping with the boho style trend we've seen so much of lately at weddings. He, for his part, chose a tailored suit, without a tie, and didn't forgo his signature sneakers.
“Throughout all these years, we’ve had the love story anyone could dream of, but this wedding at the Hotel GF Victoria has been the perfect romantic finishing touch to our relationship,” Yurena tells us. “We had the wedding we wanted, with the people we wanted, and it was all thanks to the professionalism of a fantastic team.”
